Oh man I am a manager at Mcdonald's and it looks like I gotta leave soon. I've always thought Mcdonald's was neutral on all this "woke" crap going on, but this is bullshit. Wish it was fake news.
Tell us about the human meat.
Back when I was young (many years ago) I used to hear rumors that McD's patties were made out of either kangaroo meat or earthworms, neither of which made any sense because both are much more expensive than beef by the pound. It's now obvious that it has always been soy.
I feel for you.
I kind of hoped McD’s would stay out of it too. I LOVE their iced coffees (which unlike other places, I can actually order without sugar) and sometimes a large French fry just hits the spot...
Guess this is one more thing I’ll have to learn to do without. Sure gets frustrating sometimes.
I know, you would think these companies would learn that when you go woke, you go broke. I'm hoping that this is for corporate only stores, since I work in a franchise-owned.
I worked in a McDonald’s for 6.5 years. Thanks to them I developed diabetes but not from eating their food daily.. we had trouble keeping staff and they’d force me to go without a break, and they’d give me a soda to consume “as my break”
3 years for me, managing for 2.5. I try not to eat our food every day, but I usually drink our sweet tea. That's terrible what happened to you, I don't take breaks either and work between 8-10 and a half hour shifts for five days a week. But I can't imagine working at a store that's managed that badly; if we are understaffed and can't send an employee on a break, we at least give them some time to eat and drink. Hope all is well.
I’ve always loved McD’s sweet tea. I’m doing great now actually: I’m no longer diabetic, just “borderline” which basically means I have to watch it. All it took was cutting out sugary pop (still love my Mountain Dew Zero Sugar, I’ve just cut way back on it) and eating at home more often. I saw you mention above that you work in a franchise, mine’s a corporate store so that could also be why I was treated poorly. I sure hope yours keeps treating you well!
Ah okay glad you have recovered! And yeah I think franchise-owned may be better than corporate, at least our stores are. My supervisor and the other higher-ups actually pay us pretty well and treat the employees decently. But if they decide to make us give out those cups, I'm throwing a fit lol
