Venting the urge to torture, maim, and torment people before execution is fine; in actual practice we're superior people to those who use those methods. Our humanity is simply more evolved, and most of us respect Jesus, who would disapprove strongly. The personnel who would be asked to perform such brutality would either leave the job immediately or be scarred for life. Plus you can dispatch more commies and traitors much faster with a cattle stun gun for example. Thousands per day can be sent to hell using that tool. Super quick, painless, far less stressful and harmful to our military personnel. Easier on the national psyche overall.
