When will they learn that unions are part of the swamp. I've been in 2.

Unions served a purpose at the turn of the century. In modern day. They don’t particularly serve a purpose other then to pay for the Union Execs lavish lifestyles.
Here's how the great Cabal game goes:
If you have a self serving CEO, CFO, HR etc, a union contract is needed. I always believed there are many places that a union is not necessary. However, once you see favoritism, not following the rules for all - that is when having a union contract helps. Is it perfect - no. It is a case by case basis.
We have SEIU at work. They are corrupt woke trash. Out of our entire crew, the only employees they represent the interests of are the two women who cry about racism like spoiled brats whenever they don't get their way. Anyone else those two harass (happens quite often) get no union representation and are left to fend for themselves while their aggressor is thoroughly protected.
They do nothing for the workers whenever our employer is actually looking to screw us over, openly spout activism, suck off BLM, and occasionally pretend they're doing their job to justify taking a bite out of everyone's paycheck. I had one of those goblins text me the other day, so pleased to tell me that they fought long and hard for my right to wear an N95 mask at work and were finally victorious. We had never been told we couldn't wear an N95 mask, and I told her so.
Her response? "Sorry you feel that way."
Unions serve a purpose. For example, Amazon demands that their employees do mind-numbing work only until they can replace them with robots, and a union stands a chance of fixing that.
That said, unions of public employees do not serve any such purpose, as the government ostensibly wants its employees, like all citizens, to be treated well, and the government does not have the same pressure as private companies. Even though some similarities exist, there are enough qualitative differences to justify any government to outlaw dealing with unions. Public employees unions routinely hold the citizenry hostage to serve selfish interests. The teachers' unions are prime examples, but for extreme examples look to the California prison guard union.
Just look at the teacher's union. "Advising" the CDC on what is safe and unsafe, Bull Crap
