I don't understand it either. I know Lin is controversial, but he's fought for Trump for months, and deserves Trump's support. It is a SC post. Lin would be absolutely focused on the job he'd be elected for. Trump could say "I don't agree with everything Lin says or does, but I do trust him to further the MAGA agenda and help to ensure fair elections in SC."
