Funny how parents either don't care or are actively defending this child abuse. People actually think this is all "normal" and that it's not frightening lunacy.
Many of us are fighting it. I have a special needs son who requires speech, OT, and teachers who know how to teach kids like my son. Virtual was absolutely useless and he regressed. I absolutely love that child and I’ve done what I believe is in his best interests. My older kids I love just as much and 100% believe this is child abuse and I’ve been fighting it but to say I don’t care or condone it is a bit unfair to parents you don’t know their situation. I’m on a lawsuit with a single mom and 9 other parents fighting for 16 kids, the single mom has to work to provide for her kids, she also can’t afford private school. We both figured out a way to help our kids, have them out of masks as of last week, we along with many other parents are trying to fix what is going on for all the children.
The school district I am in has a spectacular sped program and out all of the kids he is excelling. He is unmasked and has been. The other kids will be homeschooled if the district doesn’t change the policy but there are many parents who just b**** about things and don’t try to change it. I’m trying to help 3 individuals get elected to the BOE and now applied to be on an advisory committees. Parents need to get involved, I’m trying but you’re absolutely correct, we have to take care of our kids first and foremost. I can tell you most of us are doing the best we can.
I probably should have said specifically the parents who go along with all this unquestioningly, because I see many masking their very young children outdoors and so on. I also have a special needs relative who goes to private school virtually for now; they force all the children who are in-person to wear these masks. I'm sorry to hear about your situation (and for my bad wording), and I wish you and the other parents fighting against this all the best.
I agree with you, some parents are horrible who want to keep the kids in them to virtue signal. Especially parents who got the jab now take off their masks and leave their kids in them. They’ll probably be the first to turn their kids into lab rats. Those 32 degree masks are awful. I borrowed one to get my kids an exemption (because I made super this ones for my kids). My sons oxygen saturation dropped from 98 to 92 after one min in it. I tried it and I went from 98 to 83 wth?

Virtual causing your child any regression makes a lot of sense.
Every child is regressing from virtual learning.
They're missing out on real social engagement while still being fed lies.
Home schooling is way better and there is an infinite library of information on how to teach kids with special needs.
Today's teachers already try to do the least amount of work, and giving them the opportunity to do virtual is inherently exacerbatory
