Curve of the shell continuing down into the floor suggests it's an MRI or some other kind of energy device, little point of accessing the underside of the bed and the article says it's radio surgery.
Radio/x-ray/energy beam surgery could certainly be revolutionary if it was capable of burning, killing or cutting very small specific areas inside the body without any cutting or outside access but it certainly isn't some all curing MedBed, potentially huge in fact as simply leaving some dead tissue and nutrients for the body to absorb could be a vastly superior alternative to a LOT of things that currently require surgery(anything from cancer to orthopedic surgery, brain surgery and much more)
