I've been saying this for a while... why don't we have individual tracking numbers so that we can check for ourselves that our vote was counted and accurate.

Because anytime you introduce electronic data, it can all be “faked” to the end user. They could just as easily make it “look” like your vote was who you wanted it to go towards.
