We are all a big alien experiment. Good, neutral and evil aliens experiment on us. Countries exist to prevent contamination of country experiments. States are called experiments of democracy...and they are also alien experiments. We have been treated like cattle by many types of aliens. Trump is an alien who's come to save us from an interdimensional alien called Moloch that eats life force and prefers the life force energy of the innocent. I could go on... what do you all think?
I think I am the 1% that, absolutely no truth could put me in the hospital. Do you feel similar?
“your iq is lower than your thermostat setting” is in fact an ad hominem attack
Sounds like you don’t know what that means, though
Is it because it’s in latin?
Yeah but for it to be a ad hominem fallacy it would have to actually be an underpinning of the actual argument (aka a tenet of the argument without which the argument would not be valid). That’s not what I said, my argument and my comment were two separate things. Also you are the one who started attack the others intelligence so funny that when it come back your way you tuck tail and run.
Gonna quit arguing with you because it’s like playing chess with a pigeon. You shit on the board, knock over the pieces and strut around like you’ve won the game.
No, that’s not what ad hominem is. Ad Hominem is a personal attack - which attempts to use an insult to undermine the relevance or veracity of the argument or the intellect or intention of the arguer.
I love that we are arguing about the definition of ad hominem after you told me I have a low IQ as your final parting shot. Really deep stuff here, guy.
Yes an ad hominem is a personal attack. That you’re right about. But for it to be a fallacy it needs to be essential to the argument. My argument is completely separate from my assertion of your stupidity. Also don’t act high and mighty, you were the first person to attack the other directly as a person and not their argument
Your ad hominem attack was the most salient point that you made and was the lynchpin of your entire argument: that I am stupid for disagreeing which is why I hold such stupid opinions etc. It was a textbook ad hominem fallacy: “If you were the so stupid you wouldn't be making these points”
