These people will have a hissy fit if their questions about what's in their food can't be answered to their satisfaction.

But they "trust the science" when some evil creature offers them an untested science experiment masquerading as a vaccine.

Seriously! And some questionable food item would have minimal effect, if any, and only cause any problem for a short time; the shots affect people for the rest of their lives!
