I have almost no idea what y'all are even talking about. ??
Brave Browser periodically drops an ad about the Ledger Nano series, but to me that reads "It'd be good to store your new-money data-things in this pocket-thing that we sell. You know why this is obviously good, right?"
I do not, actually. Technology is fun, but crypto as a whole is still opaque to me.
Anybody have a reasonably good link that explains the basics, at the level of why crypto as a whole might even be a good thing to look into?
Ledger wallet nano x
Trust Wallet
I have never used one. I use MEW for mining and then transfer ever so often to another account for trading.
What happens if the hard wallet becomes defective?

Ledger S is good. Holding out for CoolWallet Pro nowadays. First to EAL6 and NFT support, CC form factor.
See the "Q vs Crypto" section of the FAQ for Initiative Q. (With any luck, obtuse "wallets" will soon be obsolescent.)
