Yes, the persecution is still ongoing, with unspeakable attrocities, but they are still around and they are persisting peacefully all while trying to wake up the chinese population (and people abroad) to the evil of communism.
And they managed to survive, with the whole power of the CCP waged against them, so in the end, I truly believe they will play / are playing a pretty big role in eventually freeing china from the clutches of communism, together with all the other good people left in China (like underground christians, democracy activists, upstanding lawyers etc.)
It might seem far fetched, but I truly believe that even China will have a Ghandi-like moment where peace-loving people will help throw of the yoke of evil.
In a sense, when a seemingly all-powerful government has decided to mobilize everything it has to completely and utterly eradicate a group of people, and hasn‘t managed to do so in over 20 years of persecution, then yes, I‘d call that a victory.
Nothing the CCP has done to the Falun Gong has been able to destroy the movement. Yes, they are suffering, and yes, they are persecuted, but they are still here, and what‘s more, they help people in China to find a way back to faith. Something the CCP has tried to destroy since its introduction in China.

They literally have nothing to do with Falun Gong.
Additionally, the Square and Hong Kong are places. Falun Gong is an idea, which even a totalitarian regime cannot kill.
Existing vs winning, big difference. Are we claiming existing as victory now?
