Ive never been close to a Dem and I didnt like him. Always thought he lacked a nimble mind and may have been a decent enough legislator but didnt have what it took for higher office.

Lloyd Bentson's "You're no Jack Kennedy" may have been unfair, but it was a solid punch. Quayle was gonna carry the imprint of that blow the rest of his life.
