I wondered about that U.S. military facility built far below ground in NW Greenland.
Strangely, it had rooms, but not for storage. It was almost like dormitory style housing, but completely not military style. You could say that it looks like an extremely minimum security prison complex, which can be controlled by only a few guards and where nobody will be concerned about prisoners becoming violent or trying to escape or even misbehaving.
Another strange thing is that a central feature in the whole complex is the chapel. Generally, in a military installation, a chapel is either make-shift or located in a small nook out of the way. It's placement in the middle of the complex and size denotes it's importance as a main feature.
