So they appear to be a gay male couple but actually they’re a male & female couple? I thought the whole schtick was if you’re gay you want to be with the same sex? These folks are on another level y’all.

No, actually, they're still a "traditional" man-woman couple. A severely confused couple, but still a man-woman couple. They're views are irrelevant when it comes to DNA.
