He likely has an ulterior motive. Someone who lives in WV commented that it's just a move to ensure his reelection.
Isn't that the way it should be? You know, vote the way your people want you to vote or get ousted. You want to know the whole truth? If this bill were to pass, he'd be replaced in WV by a leftist, because the Democrats won't want need him anymore. They will fix the next election and his career is history.
Yes, it should be that way, but Manchin has a history of voting for his own benefit. He also talks one way and then votes another. I'm not saying he does this all the time, but he's done this sort of thing often enough that, IMO, he isn't trustworthy.
Oh I'm not saying I like him. Just that doing what the people want is what he should always be doing. :)
