I’ve been seeing social media posts of people doing this. Not sure what the background behind it is.
Edit: Here’s an example of what I mean: http://www.walmart.com/ip/All-Black-American-Flag-3x5-Ft-US-Flag-2-Pack-UV-Protection-Flags-Heavy-Duty-Embroidered-Stars-Sewn-Stripes-Brass-Grommets-Outdoor-New/828247324
In the Civil war it meant the opposite of the white surrender flag. It meant that the soldiers would not surrender and would fight to the death of either themselves or the enemy.
Yes, it means no quarter, no prisoners.
Mine represents a dark period of America. Took down red white and blue on the 3rd when I saw the obvious fuckery happening. I have to much respect to fly it up side down so I bought a black one.
Black means that they will not surrender, as opposed to white meaning to surrender. A black American flag would mean that you will not surrender America to the enemy.
What does the black American flag mean?
At this point, there doesn't seem to be one set definition for the meaning of a black American flag. In general, black flags are used by enemy forces to signify that no quarter will be given. What that means is that, during war, enemy combatants are going to be killed rather than taken prisoner. Right now, that meaning doesn't neatly line up with what the black American flag might mean.

I have a t shirt with the American flag with the blue replaced by black. It's red, white and black.
That's Ok to wear isn't it?
The internet just said it's an edgy punk version.
My interpretation is you are wearing a design on a shirt, not an actual flag, thusly not desecrating a flag so it would be fine in my personal opinion. I have a few gray scale American flag styled neck gaiters myself…
Thank you.
I'm in the UK so when I am wearing it, it is to support the US which is at the bleeding edge of the fight against the ancient cabal.
I am grateful for the plan to rid us of the cabal and to the US for leading it.
Most people I see with them are just color coordinating their blacked out vehicles.
Agreed, and I'm pretty torn in general, about the sanctity of the Flag and any variation thereon including the Blue Line flag. I'm no flag scholar, but I was raised to have the utmost respect for the Flag as THE symbol of our nation. I fly mine but haven't gotten a good enough light for it at night, so always take it down. It's a hassle, but also an extreme honor.
Then again, I'm only recently embracing Patriotism after 30 years of misguided secularism, so I'm definitely a newb. Other thoughts on the subject would be MUCH appreciated.
Welcome back.
Thanks, that honestly means a lot. It goes hand in hand with my return to Christ as well, and it's amazing. ???
Totally understand. I’ve found God for the first time as an adult, it’s awesome.
Are you referring to the POW/MIA flag?
No. I know what that is. What I’m referring to is an American flag, but all the stars stripes and blue section are all black on black on black.
Here’s an example. http://www.walmart.com/ip/All-Black-American-Flag-3x5-Ft-US-Flag-2-Pack-UV-Protection-Flags-Heavy-Duty-Embroidered-Stars-Sewn-Stripes-Brass-Grommets-Outdoor-New/828247324
No Surrender, No Quarter given. Its a warning to the enemy. And it looks terrific on my black and white Jeep!?
There's a saying that I'll butcher "there's a point in every man's life that he needs to hoist the black flag and begin slitting throats" not sure what this for sure.
sounds like china to me trying to disrespect us and destroy the sanctity of the flag
Seeing this on Chynamart worries me. Where is this made and why?
