I've mentioned to others that made similar comments that Canadians own far more guns (especially in the West and North) than most Americans would realize.

Your comment is my greatest fear that it would be irrelevant.

Using CGN and GOC as a loose point of reference, 1 in 20 members are willing to support someone other than the CPC.

I want to argue and disagree with you so hard right now, sadly, the culture of our fur trading / lumberjack ancestors has been all but demolished except for in small festivals (Festival du Voyageur, for example).

Frankly, it's the gang-bangers and illegal gun owners who will be the greater threat than the people we would want out there. Not exactly a group you'd want to rest your faith in.
