I didn't see that she was arrested. Did I miss it? None of her actions make any sense at all. Whether she had a weapon/bomb or not seems irrelevant to me. Even people who telephone in a bomb threat at a certain place are arrested. And now she has traumatized another group of children. I think it would be hard for me to get on a bus again if I had been there! Nothing "Progressive" about any of this as the word used to be used!
Yes, she was arrested and jailed after her breakdown, which she blamed on the failed mental health system, which didn't do enough to prevent her from boarding a school bus and threatening that she could have a bomb. It's toward the end of the article.
Oh, thanks. I read it that she HAD been arrested in the past for something related to mental health issues, and treated badly, but not that THIS episode ended in arrest.
Mental health issues are certainly real, but as far as I know, they generally do NOT make it permissible for people to go around threatening and terrorizing others, bomb or no bomb.

100% agree with you, fren.
Had a British friend that was scared of taking the bus because of a bombing :/
Thought it was a funny irrational fear as a kid. Ah to be awake.
