I know this story quite well. I heard some stories that there were some shady things regarding a patent dispute against Teva pharma at the time, so there is one theory that it's Mossad related. I wouldn't be surprised if the son is involved.

It's just a hunch based on watching crime documentaries, and it seems like a pattern to be suspicious of the children.
