You don't have an issue with police because you comply with their every demand. Most police enforce the demand of those who sign their paychecks and do what they're told. They "protect and serve" the establishement. You can bet a lot of money for your legal defense that if you are caught with a firearm here, not being transported in compliance with whatever local city ordinance is in effect, you will face legal consequences. 2nd Amendment be damned. In Los Angeles, the Sheriff's Dept. stated right up front that they will not enforce the mask mandate that everyone needs to wear a mask out side. In part, because the Sherriff is an elected office. The LA Board of Supervisors is trying to eliminate that pesky part of the County Charter. In fact, that's one of the unstated goals of Antifa and BLM.. Defund the police so a Federal force moves in answerable only to the Fascist Govt. now in power. In defense of LAPD I have never been asked to put on a mask, even in a City Park being patrolled by LAPD at the start of the madness. But they sure enforce the restaurant lockdowns. Except for isolated cases of courage where police have spoken out (and they get promptly intimidated into silence or are fired), the police do what politicians tell them to do. They are not on our side and they do not comply with the US Constitution.
Redondo Beach hired rent-a-cops to issue mask violation citations. $1000 a pop. They'd give them a commission % if they could grey away with it.
Ugh. I forgot about that. Just despicable. I haven't looked much into private corp running our prisons, but that's also such a crime.
The only good thing is that private prisons counter the state prison workers union, who shamelessly extort the taxpayers at every opportunity. Private prisons sound abhorrent until you weigh it against the public ones. The prison employees union even funded a recent ballot initiative to ratchet up prison sentences without even bothering to make a logical case.
Funny thing about the private security is that, because they're not police, they had zero authority to stop you or ask for ID. All you needed to do was ignore them or refuse to cooperate and keep walking, but all the nice people who politely answered their questions got citations, which the local courts held up.
