I’m planning on taking a trip to Tampa and I know that once I’m in FL I’m safe from a lot of the covid B.S. however I checked my local airport’s website and it said that a federal order states “all persons must wear masks on airport property”.
I haven’t flown since 2019 and I’d like to hear from someone who’s been to an airport recently if there’s anything that’s changed, I will be pulling the ADA card for the masks but I refuse to get tested too
You won't be tested, and most mask requirements are now gone, but you'll probably have to wear it in the airport.
I flew from Bozeman MT to Ft. Wayne IN recently (via Chicago).
Boseman: Outside on airport property, no masks masks on only on entering terminal. Got the distinct impression most everyone wore it only to not lose their flight. Had to pull mask down to be IDed. Laughable.
Ohare: mask on in terminal, but only when standing. If seated for any reason, masks came off. Saw 1 person with mask on while seated in entire terminal.
Ft. Wayne: most people couldnt wait to get mask off. Most noses showing. Some worn on chin. I took off before leaving double doors, no issues.
In all places I saw at leaste a couple people w/o masks.
Masks on in terminal but only if standing?? Lol guess covid is a high flyer. They get stupider every time they speak
we all know that Covid only travels above 4 feet off the ground. That is the real reason why the NFL kneels.
It was quite funny actually. People walked by, not a foot away, but the magical seats protected them.
Have to wear in airport.
I haven’t worn masks ever since this started but in the airport just comply.. you’ll do nothing but get kicked out trying to argue the mask mandate.
Safe travels and rip that shit off the second you leave the terminal
Tampa is dem run so it’s not like most places but Florida is great
Quick reminder about the ADA card. I recently flew on AA to Miami and I had pulled my mask down under my nose, and the Flight Attendants told me to pull it over my nose. I informed them of my disability, and even showed her my ADA placard. She then told me since I did not notify them at check-in about my disability they were not "prepared" for this and I would have to pull it up or they would not take off. I told her I would pull it up as a courtesy to the other passengers (not to delay their flight), but if I suffered a seizure it would be the Airlines responsibility. I told her I wasn't required to tell her about my disability, but since I was being forced to wear a mask she needed to be aware that I'm Epileptic due to a Brain Tumor. The other passengers on the flight were very gracious towards me and many of them expressed their anger at the Attendants for their attitudes.
Welcome to Florida !!
You won't have a hard time at all but I do believe in the airport you have to wear masks. I never wore a mask except for my Mom's doctors appt that I was required to take her - only because she's hard of hearing. I'm in Sarasota and everything is open ? Thank God we have the Best Governor ever !!! Who are you flying? Which airlines? Are you going right into Tampa ? You should of come into Sarasota ? I'll find out for sure on the airport because my brother is a captain for Delta. Have a safe trip and have fun ?
Just drive down.
Honestly I might just do that
Wear it as a chinstrap in the airport and chances are no one says anything. Especially after landing in FL
No testing required domestically, but airports and flight crew are pretty persistent on everyone requiring to wear a mask
I work at MCO, and yes, masks are still required on airport property. Only place in Orlando I wear one. I do wear the ones I got from fakemaskusa.com and have never been questioned about it. Other than, love yer mask, where did you get it haha.
I work out of a Florida airport. Half the people do not mask up. Once people see other people enjoying the air they take theirs off too. Once they're out of the airport the mask is gone for good.
