I work for a very liberal company with lots of liberal folks. It’s a good job and I am paid well but feel like I spend a lot of time biting my tongue. Anyone else in this situation? How do you survive?

Yeah, I work for a Fortune 50 international megacorp. I spend, roughly, eight hours a month on Diversity & Inclusion meetings. About 95% of our newly hired workforce is a minority and/or has a lower IQ.
I don't feel like I'm working towards developing the best product, or that I'm part of the best team. I feel like I'm working for a company that's more concerned about sexual orientation than who're good employees.
Also the increased amount of regulation is overwhelming.
It has gotten incredibly difficult. Especially since they are pushing the LGTQZXCY and we are all racist! I have my anti racist training tomorrow. So fun.
Oh yeah we had a several week series. There was a large portion about trans rights too. ??♀️
I have never felt like I absolutely cannot speak out against this crap. They basically said if you're not on-board you can leave. I already decided not to wear a mask even though I'm not vaccinated. Fuck it. Let them fire me.
Yes, I'm a state worker in Commiefornia. I'm assistant to a Governor Gavin Newscum appointee, who is an actual anchor baby. It's obvious to everyone in my unit that I don't give a fuck, and I despise their Commie asses. My co-worker has a picture of The Squad next to the Virgin of Guadalupe in her cubicle, so I have a lovely pic of Trump, Melania and Baron in mine. I was told to put my preferred pronouns in my email signature block, so I put Fee Fie Foe Fum. As soon as they act like they're going to try to get rid of me, I'm out - moving to Florida.
You are my hero!
I'm in the same scenario as you, and my company plays a huge role in the censorship of content. Q posts have mentioned the company too, and I've internally searched for evidence to confirm those posts myself.
But all my projects I work on are completely unrelated to those products that are actively censoring political content. Otherwise, I would have become a whistleblower. I've already sold out all my RSUs in the company because I already see them as a sinking ship once audit results are revealed.
I'm biting my tongue. My closest friends think I'm crazy, and my wife tells me I shouldn't jump ship until there's definitive proof the ship will sink. If you figure out what the best route is, let me know.
I am preparing for being laid off... Keeping a 3-6 month cash on hand so that I can continue to pay my mortgage if I become unemployed. I'd suggest you do the same. My hope is that they split the company into multiple companies, but I think the brand is going to be tarnished once it's proven the election was rigged.
If you are in the Bay Area, maybe Gab is hiring...
I work for a fortune 500 and many times I've heard my boss say "I've asked to fire him/her, but HR won't let me because in today's culture it is nearly impossible to fire a black person."
Yes! I also work for a fortune 500 company. We literally cannot fire anyone because HR does not want to hurt any ones feelings. It makes it nearly impossible to manage people and hold them accountable.
I'm a blue collar guy and I got into an altercation with a black coworker back in February that began with him throwing a ladder at me then me asking what his problem was and then he got in my face and started yelling about how he was gonna kick my ass/ knock me out etc. over me being a trump supporter. I kept saying "do it then" and he never did. But then HE went to HR to tell them how I made him uncomfortable and all this shit. Fortunately there were many witnesses that I didn't say anything over the line and he started it with the ladder or else they probably would have fired me. Other guy eventually got fired but it took them a week and prodding from other coworkers that he needed to go.
Yuup. Super woke Fortune 100 co. here. Fortunately, I'm on the sales side... where a surprisingly large percentage of us are conservatives. I guess needing to hustle every day for commisssions instead of sitting in a cube collecting a paycheck doesn't align well with libtard woke 'values'.
But I plan to get my say in soon. I have more than $25K in stock I've held for over a year. That means I get to put something on the ballot to be voted on at the annual shareholders' meeting.
Other than getting materials to James O'Keefe, activist investing is how we hit 'em where it hurts.
I teach at a university, in Massachusetts aka The Liberalist of Lands.
Ugh, I work at a Houston hospital....
YES! I also work in liberal land. Sucks so much. I'm just setting myself up to work for myself in the coming months. Honestly, I can't eye roll any harder, and I do remember my momma telling me my eyes could stick that way...so there's also that. Damn libtards. LOL!
I am working at a very large financial firm in NYC. Yes, it is as bad as you can imagine. I do my best to keep every interaction fun and lighthearted. I go out of my way not to discuss politics at the office.
Same!
Cali pede here...it is hard having to keep my mouth shut on a lot of things, but what gets me through the day is coming here (I mostly lurk, rarely comment) and knowing that NCSWIC! It's going to be glorious seeing all the smug looks on the libs faces disappear when they realize we were right!
I work in Amazon in Illinois while living in Indiana. I don’t have anyone to talk to here about anything on this site at all and I can’t even talk to my family about anything. It’s rough and pisses me off that I can’t even mention anything
Thank his for this board, right?
I keep it all to my self. They will cancel you. You can't trust any of them. Know in your heart that you don't need them. They are just pawns for your pay check. I view them as tools. So I build fake relationships so they are easier to work with.
I do the exact same thing. Sometimes I am just smiling on the outside but cringing on the inside.
Do the best job in the most professional way. Their talking about non-job issues in a partisan way is disruptive of the business. Be above it all.
Get promoted, be their boss. HA!
Yup. I work on a college campus in IT. Everyone is assumed a liberal
I am so glad that I am not alone on this one.
