The Western countries I can definitely see, but the Chinese as well? All this stuff is mind-boggling sometimes.

Xi specifically, to be more accurate. Trump trashes the CCP constantly, but he has never spoken badly about Xi.

It is worth noting, in 2017 Xi allowed Trump to become the first foreign leader in China's modern history to dine in the Forbidden City, and it is rumored that Kim Jong Un was also secretly present at that meeting.
