I think they're just really in character and enjoy the attention they get from the role play, as a satirical venture, more than just "role playing".
They're an amusing account, but genuinely, a 70 year old man who... doesn't hide what he says and isn't very undercover with his beliefs, could control himself enough to have a parody-esque account.
