Thanks for that back story, patriot! That is awesome.

All the same, in the absence of that explanation, the average person hearing the term pipe hitter is not going to get any sense of patriotism or anything great at all. It just sounds like a nickname for a meth or crack user. Not going to catch on, I hope.
