There's absolutely NOTHING wrong with anger. Nothing wrong with being angry with people who are willfully ignorant. People, who taking their freedom for granted, spat on the graves of those who came before them and fought and died for our country. Essentially assigning zero worth to those sacrifices, by sticking their heads in the sand and refusing to lift one finger to do any research, to do their due diligence in making sure that they are honoring those sacrifices by seeking out truth. So little is asked of us. So little. And for those who cannot even be bothered to do that? Yes, anger is the proper response. They do not deserve to be coddled and soothed:
“If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen.” - Samuel Adams
There is NO need for "I told you so's" or "rubbing it in", that is not the right thing to do and it does no-one any good. You are absolutely correct in saying we need to hold our arms open and maybe just get mad WITH them. I 100% agree with this sentiment. But they FIRST need to understand and come to terms with the grave seriousness of the ramifications of their apathy, laziness and willful ignorance. I am not able to give anyone any excuses for that. There are NO EXCUSES, anymore. NONE. Part of the reason we are in the mess we are in is because of those who did not appreciate and VALUE Freedom. Those who took it for granted.
