I don't even know why Ghislaine Maxwell is worried about sewage flooding her cell, or cockroach droppings from the vents or guards shining a flashlight every 15 minutes.
In her position, I don't think anything would bother me.
It's not like she will one day walk free... or that she won't be executed (or involuntarily suicided). The best Ghislaine can hope for is that she won't be severely tortured before they lock here in a sunless cell for life, or before her execution.
At this point, bring on the raw sewage and rat turds. Who really cares?
I'm not a lawyer, but from listening to a few, I've gathered (I don't know for SURE, so take it with a grain of salt, just trying to help) that the idea is that her lawyers are nitpicking absolutely everything possible, no matter how small, in order to find some little bit of leverage as to cause a mistrial with.
As much as you or I might think "alright but we're talking about Ghislaine freaking Maxwell here," the justice system is still the justice system, and has to work both ways -- the good part about it working both ways is that the judge can still decide to overrule the nitpicking (I'm not sure the mechanism, just saying that there are mechanisms built in to handle this type of situation.)

James Comey's daughter is the prosecutor and I doubt the apple falls far from the tree
