The year was 2022, and I had just volunteered for the county burial crew. The work was grim for months, but a new world sprang out of it.

I would volunteer for that, and give them all Christian burials, even though they've all clearly hated Christianity in life. They'll probably be in hell, but I can at least go on with a clear conscience.
