I had some doubts during the 2016 campaign when Pence would give a little pep-talk to the huge audiences waiting for Trump. I couldn't stand his phony tone but figured he was just another polished politician and Trump chose him, so he must be decent. But I remember thinking I'd much rather have a down-to-earth guy like Giuliani up there. Pence seemed too fake.
I had heard from the outset that he headed up the biggest pedo ring in Indiana. But I was still impressed with how he kept his act together. Phony but basically flawless.
