I had a based black professor in college that taught a course called early Africa to the 1800s. This was 12-15 years ago and he was so confused by the stereotypical portrayal of white slave owners in the media then (can’t imagine how he feels now). Black Africans owned slave markets and sold other African people as slaves. Some of the black people in America that were freed owned slaves. Jews in America also owned a lot more slaves than other ethnicities
