In a suburb about 30 minutes from Chicago. The area is actually pretty peaceful. The last couple weeks though I've been hearing more booms. First couple times I believe it came north of me, somewhere near a park perhaps.
I wonder if anyone else has been experiencing this as well.
The commentary in the vid I saw said they believed it was NOT fireworks evidenced by the shaking ground (and house windows?) and that it continued intermittently over a period of about 90 mins.
fireworks absolutely shake the house, especially large shells that are 6 inch or larger, or large salutes (just a bright white flash, no color).
a 12 inch color shell or a 6 inch ti salute will shake windows for miles.
here's the timeline
chick takes video of fireworks going off while speculating that a top secret underground war is going on where we are blowing up underground bunkers
on her video she says "20 minutes""
then her video gets assblasted because it's obviously fireworks
so she takes it down out of embarrassment
then she reposts it saying "i decided to put it back up", then claiming it was an hour and a half long and she saw military planes so her imagination can't be wrong and she's not a retard who's living in fantasy land.
(she is)
the fireworks show last 20 minutes just like her original video said, it sounded exactly like fireworks in her video (you can even hear crackle effects in some of the shells), and now there is a video online showing you the exact fireworks show that was happening on the exact day and time at the exact location she was filming.
we all need to be careful of doubling down on retarded. when someone gets all excited like this we should be our own biggest sceptic to make sure we don't believe in dumb made up bullshit and wind up looking like a bunch of dumb assholes.
To clarify, my previous comment was only meant to summarize her interpretation/reporting of events, and not an endorsement or affirmation that she was correct. Appreciate you affirming the need for critical thinking and thoughtful evaluation. Healthy skepticism and due diligence are essential for vetting any unsubstantiated info/online claims.
right on...
this lady reminds me of this kid we had in the neighborhood growing up... if there were clouds rolling in, he would have people convinced a tornado was coming. always exaggerating and making shit up.
i do think she believes what she was saying on the video... but i think she has a very active imagination and is making a bit of a fool of herself
