The Roman catholic church was founded in 313AD when Constantine legalized Christianity when he realized that all previous attempts to crush Christianity only made it grow faster. So he legalized it and merged it with Roman paganism. That's where all the head dresses, traditions, idolatry and worship of the virgin Mary came from. They even changed the 10 commandments, they removed the second commandment (idolatry) and split the 9th into two to fit their traditions. They even added purgatory to the mix, which can't be found anywhere in the Bible.
nope
totally false
the ten commandments are the same as always
Priests have always worn specific garments (ephods etc)
purgatory wasn’t in the bible it is a theological understanding of an unimaginable time if judgement since Christ says all will be judged (separating the wheat and the chaff etc)
catholics don’t worship mary
you have no clue what you are talking about but are just parroting bullshit
I have.
Those documents are doctrinal teaching and especially vat 2 has been misinterpreted in some very dangerous ways.
Most people that read them without being participants in the fullness of the faith are the ones doing the misinterpretation, such as yourself.
No, the fundamental difference between protestant and catholic is this:
Protestants do not have the physical presence of Christ in the Eucharist.
Regarding works/faith, catholics do not believe they earn our way to heaven. We believe that Christ’s sacrifice allows us to be saved, and that when people are saved they are compelled to turn away from sin in their hearts. Sin of course is still committed hence the need for confession. Confess your sins one to another etc. Jesus gave the DISCIPLES tje power to forgive sins (that which you forgive on earth is forgiven in heaven etc) - he gave that message to his disciples that they have the authority to forgive sins.
The bible says nothing about Mary “recognizing Jesus as her savior.” I agree with you that she did, but if you are going to go outside of scripture for your under of Mary, you can’t refute catholic understanding of Mary on the basis that it “goes outside of scripture.”
All of Marian doctrine is built on logical arguments that are scriptural. There are also traditions taken from the writings of those who lived in Jesus’ time.
Paul does not say faith alone. The way we are saved is through acceptance of Christ’s sacrifice on the cross. That acceptance is the first act we must commit. Christ’s love for us is unconditional but his salvation of us is conditional on our acceptance of his sacrifice.
You forgot the part where it says “the gates of hell shall not prevail against my church.”
Mary was born without original sin which is what is meant by blessed art thou among women. She had to be, so that she could be the ark of the new covenant and contain God.
If the rampant pedophilia within the clergy isn't a giant red flag for you, there's nothing I can say to help you realize you've been lied to. Some people are so attached to their religion and traditions that they refuse to see the truth. The pharisees in the Bible are the perfect example of this. They stood in front of God himself and told him he was wrong.
Here are the 10 commandments listed in the Bible. 1“I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. You shall have no other gods before Me.
2“You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; you shall not bow down to them nor serve them. For I, the Lord your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and fourth generations of those who hate Me, but showing mercy to thousands, to those who love Me and keep My Commandments.
3“You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain.
4“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God. In it you shall do no work: you, nor your son, nor your daughter, nor your male servant, nor your female servant, nor your cattle, nor your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.
5“Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long upon the land which the Lord your God is giving you.
6“You shall not murder.
7“You shall not commit adultery.
8“You shall not steal.
9“You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor.
10“You shall not covet your neighbor's house; you shall not covet your neighbor's wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor's.”
Here are the 10 commandments listed by the Vatican. Notice the big difference and mainly that the second commandment has been removed to allow for their idolatry of the "Saints".
Also purgatory isn't even hinted at in the Bible. It's nonsense to keep wilful sinners to keep filling the churches coffers.
The catholic religion is completely unbiblical and only leads to spiritual death
The bible was compiled by the catholic church, and that was AFTER all of the traditions if the liturgy were established. The gospel of John for instance was not even written until 63AD, so saying the catholic church is “unbiblical” is completely retarded.
I am not sure why you conflate the Vatican with the Catholic Church. They have listed a summary of the ten commandments and you think that is evidence they cHaNgEd tHe TeN cOmMaNdMeNtS?
The vatican is the political substructure of the church and is not the church.
“Rampant” pedophilia is actually less than other institutions such as the public school system in the u.s. or the united nations, by percentage. Obviously it is horrible but it isn’t an acceptable act in the church.
