the companies best option in order to save money and "downsize" their staff, is to kill them with the jabs, not rehire/fill the position and replace them with self checkouts.
But why not automate the industry, and then just tell all the employees "Sorry guys, all y'all are fired, we dont need ya anymore"?
Why does Kroger want to murder all the employees first, when it can just fire them and replace them with automation? Isn't that what's been happening for decades now?
