Complacency and apathy, right up and until you find out as a parent what these bastards are doing. They have awoken a giant. Let's see how it turns out for them.

People are apethetic and are comfortable not having to be involved

We tried to defeat two incumbents to try to get one of our own guys in two months ago. These two incumbents were heavily funded and backed by the teachers unions. Our guys signs were taken down by who knows who all over town and these two inundated the place with their signs. They were all over local media and even showed up on ads on our Facebook pages. How does school board members get their ads onto our Facebook pages? There’s also the fact that we vote on Dominion voting machines and it was a closed room “count”. Needless to say our guy lost by 20 votes. 800-780.

The average voter(especially childless) doesn't even bother to inform themselves bout the issues, or major candidates. You think they don't just pick names at random when it comes to county coroner or school board?

Apathy is part of it, the other part of the picture I would put down to being simply unaware of how to correctly handle extremist school board members.

The will to remove is certainly there, and there doesn't appear to be any lack of motivation to speak out and complain, but this has never crossed that red-line to vote on termination of board members.

Sometimes one small county leading by example and publicizing such a firing on twitter can show others how its done - Vail, AZ comes to mind very recently, a trend I fervently hope to see continue.

Because the citizenry is on autopilot.

Because the only people who show up and vote for school board elections are the libs. That MUST change.
