Well as we learned in Trump's 2nd impeachment trial, the DS loves to remove blue check marks from official evidence.
Maybe, just maybe, adding the blue checkmark is a "fuck you". To which side? Not sure. Gut says PANIC.

The real 'Great Awakening' should be that you guys are lied to by your "friends" on here constantly. Conspiracy theorists lie more than the MSM. This is a perfect example. None of you even questioned whether or not he simply erased the blue check. Which he did.
A critical thinker would realize that all this proves is that there was a blue check when david gilbert took his screenshot.
Unless his screenshot was at the same time as mine (and on the same front-end interface - web, iphone app, android app), all it does is imply that the blue check disappeared between when David took his and I took mine, then came back at some later time prior to my second screen shot.

Just because we listen doesn’t mean we believe. The whole reason we got here is we realized the corporate media was lying all the time. We have the ability to discern, and we use that same discernment with conspiracy media too. You might have people initially believing it (presumption of truth), but just because we’re discussing it as true, that doesn’t mean we’ve fully committed to it. That’s why a debunking isn’t that bothersome. That’s also why when the corporate media was debunked we also listened, as compared to the NPCs who continuously refuse. Also this is a discussion message board, not a newspaper or news station. People post all sorts of things and people discuss it like friends hanging out in a pub. If we were an actual newspaper then standards would obviously be higher, but that’s a different format.

If you look back through some previous posts there is stuff like " we are under good information our dear friend John McAfee is being unlawfully detained by authorities. We thank everyone for the outpouring of support." So it seems a friend controls his account. Or he posted that in third person pretending to be someone else.

David Gilbert screenshot the post. real_ali_shah's comment is only 23 minutes old. Meaning it was taken 21 minutes before OP's screenshot.
In David Gilbert's post, "officialjohnmcafee" is verified in the top right.
So the question is,
WHY DID OP FEEL FIT TO BLATANTLY LIE?
