Question: How would you, as DIA or NSA or 'Q' White Hats, come out and explain to world leaders, foreign governments, corporations, Billions of people... that you have copies of every conversation, every transaction, every email...and have the ability to monitor anything in the world any time you wish? How would you announce it without giving away your entire infrastructure and destroying your monitoring ability in the future? How can you disclose that info without starting a war? Or causing world-wide murders and "suicides" in certain corrupt circles?
John McAffee.
HE was the one listening. HE gathered up all of this information that is now coming out on illegal activities. HE was the one tracing cryptocurrency transactions. HE listened to your phone calls, read your emails, monitored government officials and corporations by tracking their computers. :>) We didn't realize he was a rogue.
Well... done is done. Too bad he's dead or we could have questioned him. :>) Here are the 31 Terrabytes of information he collected, and it is verified as legitimate. Oh my!!! Look at all of the criminal information! Weird that he had everything on the Clinton, Bush and Obama administrations, and it's all available now for everyone to read.
The DIA, NSA, etc... never have to disclose that THEY gathered the info. There is nothing disclosed about how THEY monitor computers, cell phone calls, transactions of all sorts... so their infrastructure remains safe and beyond question. They now can release anything they want and blame it on John McAffee. This seems to be pretty convenient just before the White Hats make SHTF world wide.
A lot of people won't like this but here's why I think this is bullshit:
As much as I love the persona, John is an objective bullshitter. He has a long history of very publicly bullshitting & just generally lying.
THIRTY ONE tb. That is an unbelievable amount of information. Like I literally don't believe it. I don't think people realize how much data that is. It's a number that somebody who is bullshitting would come up with.
Correct me if I'm wrong but John was saying that his switch would start uploading contracts once whatever triggers it does it's job. 31TB worth of them stored in Eth. I don't understand why somebody would design it this way instead of just encrypting them & uploading them years ago then have the switch release a simple .txt with the key. All of this talk about black outs etc totally avoided, there would be nothing to stop.
All of this especially combined with John's prior history of bullshitting leads me to think that John is again most likely bullshitting. Don't get me wrong I would absolutely party with John and I want this 31TB to be true so bad. But this is a guy who absolutely pissed away his fortune, finally got a little bit of it back and with US extradition was on track to lose it all. I don't think he could handle it.
Yeah, he was a nutjob and this will be forgotten in a week like all prior big happenings.
According to you. To my mind, someone who's bullshitting would pick a far more believable number, to be believed more easily
You're right and especially someone who comes from a tech background.. But the thing is John wasn't actually really too involved in tech after he sold McAfee. He was rich as shit & just spent the next several decades partying. By the time he was broke tech had changed so much, and 'terabyte' was not a word that even came up back then. If you really listen to some of his in depth videos about security he says a lot but nothing at all of substance that is really insightful. Just my opinion but he really wasn't as versed in these kinds of things as he wanted people to believe. He saw the importance of being seen that way though & really played into it, and in the end he even made fast money again with it with his crypto of the week.
he created software that had a backdoor into every pc?
I don't think so. I'm a web dev myself, it's not the same as software engineering but I know that any widely used program from the 80s has gone through so many total redesigns to make it to 2021. I doubt a single line of code is reused from the original product McAfee made, for one it was made for an entirely different set of processors so it really wouldn't even be compatible in the first place.
good points...well Microsoft had a backdoor into every PC....we shall see!
Isn't that the number of terabytes of data the Dong guy is supposed to have brought with him?
I think that was 37. But yeah that would rock if it turns out to be the same data
