Didn't say it hurts me. It hurts the OP. There are better, more human ways to seek connecting with fellow posters.

This is succumbing to the algorithmic witchcraft of the "Internet". It's bad juju, it's Basic Instinct.

There is NOTHING wrong with wanting to connect with others. I do not agree this is the way to do it. Seen it destroy forums too many times to count.
