Here's my thinking:
If something is about to break, if a take down is nearing, if we are nearing zero hour we could be reaching the apex of a dangerous time.
"America has been sailing on a summer sea. But now there are storm clouds on the horizon, and now no longer distance, a time of mist and shadows wherein danger may be concealed whose form and magnitude we can scarcely conjecture." - Lord Brice, American Commonwealth 1888.
The cabal, the power hungry self indulged masters of the world, aided by Satan himself, have a well developed power structure, and very near unlimited resources. They would not balk at killing billions, or throwing the USA into a state of chaos to accomplish their ends, if they can.
If ever you were waiting for a trigger event that told you now is the time to prepare, to stock up needed supplies, to gather what you need to maximize your chance of survival, that time is now. And most important of all, now is the time to get yourself right with God, and strive everyday to strengthen your faith, and knowledge of God truths as written in the Holy Scriptures, for truly:
"THESE are the times that try men’s souls. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he that stands it now, deserves the love and thanks of man and woman.
Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph.
What we obtain too cheap, we esteem too lightly: it is dearness only that gives every thing its value. Heaven knows how to put a proper price upon its goods; and it would be strange indeed if so celestial an article as FREEDOM should not be highly rated."
Thomas Payne.
Any conclusions about whether we're heading for some sort of ice age? It's been on my mind for a while and I just don't really know what to think. Ice Age Farmer seems to think we are and that crop yields are going to keep falling which is obviously concerning but I just don't have enough knowledge about it to piece these tidbits together yet, I'm also wondering; if this scenario plays out as some suggest, will that be US centric or will it have similar effects globally?
We are at the beginning of a mini Ice Age.
The question is whether it will be more like the Dalton Minimum, or the Maunder Minimum.
I studied Geology in the eighties, and became aware of the warming/cooling argument, and my Prof told us we were overdue for an ice age, based on his PhD thesis which investigated ice-age cycles. He believed that global warming was a comfortable fantasy.
If you want to know more, check out Dr Valenitan Zharkova who explains it very well. She is an AstroPhysicist.
Unfortunately, the Northern Hemisphere is going to suffer more, because the Earth will be further from the sun in the Winter there, so the winters will be more severe, but it will affect the entire planet for the nest fifty years or so.
You can prepare by insulating and making sure your wood fire is up to date, and making sure you can hunt. I believe that eating meat will help in a famine. Crops will fail, but wild animals will eat bark or moss to survive.
Thanks for sharing your knowledge, I somewhat passively watched a presentation of hers and a lot of it seemed a bit advanced for me but it's interesting. I'm just trying to get my head around what this is going to look like in practice and what preparations I may need to make and potentially share with family.
Good advice with the hunting etc., I'm in Australia so maybe it won't affect us as badly as you alluded to.
There is a small advantage for the Southern Hemisphere, in that we can expect moist winters and cooler than normal summers. However, the growing season will still be shorter.
What should also be considered is that given that the Northern Hemisphere will suffer the freezing aspects, food production will occur chiefly in the Southern Hemisphere.
The effect for us little people will be that we can expect to pay increasing export prices. Some of the produce will not even hit local shelves. We already have that problem here in NZ, where we can only by the export reject apples, and pay top dollar for meat and milk. The best cuts of meat are prohibitively expensive.
Yeah I hear you, it's especially crazy when NZ for example is held up there as one of the best quality beef producers!
So I get the impression that you're seriously concerned by this? I'm trying to entertain these ideas and it makes sense but I just can't seem to convey the possibility to anyone who I've talked about it with.
