Agreed and I believe it's because we have let them define our realities for too long.
Luckily in communities like this one, more and more people are realizing just how much pain and division entities like these cause, no matter how they position themselves in moral superiority.
Like I mentioned in my previous comment: [they] want us looking outward always. Hence the devices and addictions and the never-ending supply of fear.
Seeking validation and acceptance from without is what keeps people addicted; acceptance and validation can only be won by looking inward and doing the work required to not only slay your dragons, but then help others slay theirs by whatever means present themselves.
This is the last thing our enslavers want because it means that we discover they don't actually have control over us; we discover I AM and WE ARE sovereign and immune to their nonsense when we can find sanctuary from within instead of depending on someone or some thing to provide it for us.
This creates an environment internally where we can confidently say "No more! My energies belong to me and God and I've been given this opportunity to decide how they are used and dispensed along with Him and no other unless I can intuit their intentions are aligned with mine!" see PS
To tie this back in, we can still put these technologies to use for good, but try to be mindful of times when you're putting a thing or engagement and especially ourselves in the way of developing and healing our relationships with the people in our lives; especially the ones who seem "difficult" to deal with. That is a lesson waiting to happen so don't delay! Living by example goes a long way, friends.
PSThis is an idea I believe Jesus (I prefer to refer to Him as Yeshua) was referring to throughout his teachings as he referred to seeking peace/repose/being as passersby; in such a state one then has mastery over their mind, body and emotions so that ANY external force (idea, event, anything) is considered among all three before a reaction is rendered. This is what mindfulness training begins to scratch the surface of accomplishing.
It's difficult! We've been conditioned for a long time to react instantly and never really reflect on why we react a certain way to catalysts in our lives
I appreciate it, truly. Emotional mastery is one of the hardest things for us to overcome when we're surrounded by instant gratification opps and forces that want us to stay focused externally.
I know you didn't ask so no pressure but I've found the 6 Heart Virtues an incredibly effective tool for working at this in my day to day and I highly recommend it even for those who are just starting to "tune-in" to their emotional cores (aka the energetic Heart -- remember that painting of Jesus with the faming heart? That's the one!)

Really thoughtful brilliant post freedom burger. I also remind myself to not get addicted to outrage.
