So, my city has decided to cancel all Canada Day activities due to the recent finds of Native bodies at two of the residential facilities. The second one, if you don't know, isn't a mass grave. It's a legit old graveyard, yes for Natives, at a church near one of the school. They are mostly adults we are told.
I know other cities / towns may do this as well.
Am I wrong or out of touch in thinking modern day Canada Day has absolute zero to do with our past? Yep, we're where we are as a nation because of our past, but... if we erase the past, doesn't that just pave the way for it to be done again?
NONE of us regular Canadians were ever taught about the schools. After the settlers and the Natives initial meets and greets, the only thing we were taught about them was the occasional attack on a settlement. Once the settlers and Natives parted ways, our history records didn't include them; they weren't us.
The regular Canadian hasn't had any idea our gov't has been systematically and silently erasing Native Canada for generations. By never teaching us anything about them, all we get are what we see on our streets, when we drive by a reserve, or what we see in the media ( blocking roads, burning fishing boats ).
The Canadian gov't has been 100% OK with this the entire time. They're still actively doing it. Check my name for posts about the Native women disappearing here for 15+ years.... it's the gov't doing it.
I guess I'm trying to ask : Am I wrong for thinking that the regular Canadian should NOT feel any sense of responsibility? Now that the rest of Canada has been shown the truth, should it not be solely up to the gov't and the Catholic Church to man up and take FULL responsibility?
They are using questionable words to describe this too. They want to make people picture bodies of children being dumped into a big hole in the ground, but notice there are no photos of these graves? These could literally just be bodies buried in a grid pattern like any other cemetery. And “unmarked” could just mean they were given wooden crosses but over 100 years they rotted away, or were taken for the lumber, or even removed by the people issuing these announcements. Everyone is jumping on this story as true when we know the corporate media lies about everything, and this certainly all fits with the Marxist anti-white agenda. They’ve essentially created a new Covid situation here where nobody is allowed to question the narrative publicly, and that allows them to run wild without opposition. That is when the left gets really nuts, because nobody is standing up to them, just like nobody stood up to them on Covid or George Floyd. Even in the early days of Floyd, anyone who questioned the official narrative was yelled at and dismissed on T_D.
Everyone who is so convinced they know exactly what this and has already come to a bunch of conclusions about Canada, Christians, Catholics, white people, nationalists, and conservatives should step back and really ask themselves what they have actually been shown on this so far. Have you even seen a single forensic photo of these bodies?
I am not even saying I know for sure this is media/Marxist hype, but consider the pattern here. When people first saw the George Floyd video, they were convinced they had just watched a cop choke a dude with his knee. And months later we now know that didn’t happen. And if you look at the video of it now, with all the evidence that has come out, it’s obvious that video doesn’t show a dude being choked. But at the time people saw what they wanted to see, what they were told to see.
I think a similar thing is happening with this “Canadian genocide” story. I expect the Marxists have this all timed and are going to roll out more stories, one for each province, to push a “we must pay reparations” narrative or even “we must disband Canada” narrative. Eventually (like Floyd and the riots and Covid and the lockdowns), if it gets so tyrannical, actual investigators and experts will be forced to look into it and that’s typically when the corporate media narrative and its splashy headlines start to fall apart. That’s when quiet retractions start happening: actually HCQ does work, actually Floyd died of a fentanyl overdose, actually those graves were all marked and oh yeah, it wasn’t actually the church but the old penal colony two blocks away, etc.
Seems to me what I'm seeing is the usual people who hate the Queen and make everything about her. Here in the US we had lots of boarding schools, in fact some are still active. Many children did die there over the years from measles, flu, TB, and yes, abuse and homesickness. Obviously the Queen had nothing to do with that. It does seem like it's a psyop or at least hysteria without the evidence. Where are the LIDAR pictures? That's how archaeologists now find very ancient burials, e.g. battlefields.
