What i did was move away from any of those platforms that push that crap and setup your own system to watch tv and movies.

There are a few ways of doing this and there are guides out there.

Me i use Sonarr which auto downloads your shows for you. Radarr which is the same but for movies. Then use torrents and usenet to download the content. I have a kodi box that i can watch my shows on, beauty of this is no ads so i just watch what i want to watch.

Just been trying out Open media vault too which you can add those above to it and set it up to do a bunch of things, think you can even run it on a Raspberry Pi 4.

Also for youtube i use PocketTube subscription manager so i only see content from my own subscriptions and you can create groups of them and toggle them on and off so if i dont want to see some of my groups of subscriptions its easy to do and means if avoid the front page of youtube and all that cancer. Also use adblock and setup a pi-hole to get rid of all ads i don't think i have seen an ad for youtube for years now.
There is also FreeTube app so you can use youtube but with and app although not as good as with PocketTube with the subscriptions.
