Dave Hodges was saying last week that he thinks someone has been twisting the arms of AZ officials. They are softening their tough talk and sounding wishy washy. He thinks they may have been threatened. No surprise there.
He is very plugged into AZ politics and knows the players well. He stated in a broadcast on his radio show recently that he noted a change in what was being said by officials. It sounded like they were starting to soft sell the results and downplay the impact. He expressed disappointment in that he was afraid that they had been "gotten to" by someone. High stakes for sure and certain people will stop at nothing to retain power. AZ has been a hub of corruption for decades. It is hard to clean up - if it is even possible. They only way they will have a chance is to keep eyes on this audit as much as possible, watch their backs, the voters in the state need to keep up the pressure, and everyone needs to pray - especially for their safety.
Hodges knows these people well and how the politics in the state work. He is afraid that they are being threatened. Georgia Governor Kemp's daughter's boyfriend, who was also a staffer for Senator Loeffler, was killed in a fireball of a car wreck. It sent a message to a whole lot of people in Georgia. Then there was the killing of the son and husband of a Federal Judge by someone that also suicided themselves later. I am sure this was also meant to send a message to other judges that may hear election related cases as well.
This power struggle is usually about money and promises of future position - but if bribery and blackmail don't work, threats against someone you care about generally will get results. Security for these people sticking their necks out is slim and usually provided by private citizens. Let us pray it will be enough to keep them safe.

Amen.
