yes but electricity is powerful and can cause fires in a blink of an eye, also they may still be burning do to the fact if they flood with water more victims that are possibly still alive may get drowned ?
I wonder how a fire can keep burning if it's smothered under a building. How is the air getting in?
Coal and tire fires can burn for years underground. It must be possible with a very small amount of air, just a crack in the rubble or the building slab.
An early report mentioned tunnels, this says 'very deep'. Could be un under block system, could be something else. Either way, it would provide an air source (also another entry point one would assume).
You'd think they'd try that way in after several days.
