I still wear vinyl gloves while working retail and particularly shopping in the supermarket, since hand sanitizer will ultimately mess up your liver.
Not to mention: constant use of hand sanitizer will lead to superbugs like MRSA.
Have you tried washing your hands normally and taking vitamin C? Pretty sure you have an immune system.
I do a lot of outdoor work, so I probably have a lot of nicks and small cuts in my hands; thus, the gloves. But, especially the food stores have pathogens like salmonella, herpes, etc., so gloves are the safest bet. But yes, I do wash my hands and take Vitamins C, D, K, zinc, melatonin, quercitin and prophalactic Ivermectin.
