I hope they get forced back to special session TOMORROW!
I hope they get rounded up and arrested for treason.
Even better.
This means that the budget must have been approved by Ducey. That included an amendment to take the SOS (Katie Hobbs) out of the election business and give those responsibilities to the state AG (Brnovich). It was a desperately necessary move they couldn't get through otherwise: because they were pressed for time because of the audit, they didn't finish the budget when Ducey wanted and he retaliated by vetoing 23 of their bills (most). As they only overrode one veto we were spared a lot of new laws but we did get the audit and somewhat sidelined Hobbs. You should be cheering that they identified the biggest problem and did their part quite deftly, instead of bitching about their salary: it is a salary, whether they work 1 day or 365, it's the same amount. As an AZ taxpayer I am very pleased that they are going to take a break and rest up for the next fight now that they have done their main jobs. It is going to be intense, I'm sure. They do not need to hang around waiting for the auditors, they might decide to pass laws for something to do. They already said they are going to spring into action when necessary but there.is.nothing they can do now.
Thank you.
their salary is what, 25k/year? OOOOHHH, yeah, they're really milking that one!!!!
Reality is there if you want to look for it, thank you for offing some of it here. People get too wrapped up in the corrupt, and forget there is still such a thing as good people, trying to do a good job.
Not a lot of them, I'd conceed, but they still exist. If you don't thing this is true, why aren't you running against the scum?
This shit pisses me off so much. With an active audit ongoing?
“It’s exhausting being us.” “Look how long we worked without an extended vacation” “We know there are important issues at hand but... bye!”
They get paid to sit on their ass and hurl veiled insults, and threats at each other interspersed with occasional votes on policy most of which is ultimately trivial in nature. I’d hardly call that working.
What Election INTEGRITY Laws were signed into law from this session? Can you recap?
Well the military is going to definitely intervene soon.
NCSWIC.
Be prepared for a longer wait.
I suspect we will be waiting until likely late 2022 at the soonest, but more than likely 2023. More states need to complete their election audit processes, and none of them have been too eager to begin. It took Arizona nearly four months. We are still in the stage of a landslide where only a pebble or two can be seen in motion. The big rocks have yet to tumble.
IMO, we're further than you think. The big rocks are sliding, very slowly, but they are moving, their just out of sight because we're standing on them and they're all moving at the same time, like a moving sidewalk. you have to get back to see it all happening.
Right now we're too close to it!
We will see the Arizona results this year.
Hopefully those results will galvanize enough other state legislatures to get on board. I suspect only a couple more will fast track their audit process. Once those couple / few states finish their audits, and release their results we may see a much more wide adoption.
In reality, we only need three key battleground states to prove election fraud significant enough to change the result of the election. Then we can put the ball in Biden's court to cede power back to the people. The soonest that can likely happen is 2022 at the rate things are going.
I'm for this.
I heard they get paid $24k a year. Why cant they just come in every saturday or something?
This means that a special session can always be called when needed. They have finished the business of their offices, there is nothing left to do unless you want them to make up laws for the sake of keeping busy (not advised).
When they are needed, they can be recalled in less than a week.
The senate isnt doing the audit
