I've always hated the hijacking of the rainbow. I'll try and be brief. Some years ago a dear friend of mine was told she had cancer after having what we thought was a cyst removed. Her twin looked out the window & saw a rainbow and we knew it was a sign she'd be ok. When she went to the doc to discuss treatment options, she looked at his calendar on the wall and it had a rainbow on it. I wrote a monthly "Rainbow Report" that kept all her friends and family updated on events, etc. And throughout her journey every time she saw a rainbow she knew she'd be ok. She's been in remission for years now and though our lives have become busy and we don't see each other as often as we used to, each time either of us sees a rainbow in the sky we take a pic and text to one another just to remind each other of our love for one another and more importantly God's love and mercy. And now the rainbow has become a symbol of depravity. Sickening.
