I got the same error message just from typing in the URL. I didn't even hit enter or add any other text. Strange.
I erased everything but the "bible.com" and FB accepted that. Maybe their algorithm doesn't like that particular verse, or perhaps it's all the periods in the URL that's kicking it out.
That would be my guess. Too many subdirectories in the URL.
Could it be the specific verse, maybe? Would be worth trying a few different ones, then check quran, talmud, torah, make an infographic or meme with the results?

1 Chronicles 16:11 KJV
Seek the LORD and his strength, Seek his face continually.
Do these fail also?

Nope. I'm thinking it might just be all the periods in the URL.
Good work, Aspie.
It's probably because the link ends in .kjv - when an internet browser ends with a file extension, like pdf or mp3 or JPEG, it's meaning for the browser to download that file. So Facebook is just keeping a link that starts a download in a weird file extension (used for Bible.com's specific software?) Whereas linking their home page is fine. If you visit like biblegateway.com and select your translation and verse you could still post whatever same verse or any verse cuz it's linking to a web page and not a .kjv download. ?
The ".kjv" is not referring to a download. It just means that the verse is from the King James Version.
