They had the nerve to call me to say I needed surgery but REFUSE to send me my test results for a 2nd opinion. Says against HIPPA. I said against my common sense to just take your word for it.

Cost of producing the copies are governed by statute.
Pretty sure that's federal law, not state law.
That is utter bullshit. Every doctor 's office/medical group has a HIPPA authorization form. My background is in life insurance - how do you think we get the medical records to underwrite? Depending upon who your doctor is associated with, the form may even be on the website.

I argued with them. I worked for cancer surgeons and know they just dont want to bother. So I decided to contact HIPPA and report them.
