$10 seems about average for soybeans. I think corn was near $7.25 in about 2008 when the ethanol crap got going. I don’t raise either so I’m not up to date on prices but neither seems unusual. The prices fluctuate a lot based on world wide supply and demand. I’m too lazy right now to look it up and post a link.
Uh has anyone looked at the grain market lately
no why do you ask?
Soybeans, averaging $5/bushel over last year, from about 9 to about 14.
Corn $3.50 last year, about $5 now, up to over $7.25 at one point, an all time high iirc.
We don't eat the corn either. They both end up feeding animals we do eat.
watermelons seem to be about a buck more this year, even at costco.

What he said is not quite accurate. Prices fluctuate wildly due to weather and demand around the world.
