This is why I'm having a hard time taking these warnings seriously. Every rumor I've heard about farmers destroying crops is based on some sketchy video or blog post. Not that I trust the corporate media to ever report on something like this, but if the crop destruction was as widespread as claimed, then surely there must be more evidence out there than the same viral videos posted by some randoms.
That said, it's good advice in general to stock up on food and supplies for emergencies. We all saw the empty grocery shelves last March.
